When in a crunch homemade tacos can be remarkably fulfilling.
·
The Food
Las Tortillas. Overly
crunchy and slightly burnt. Corn was nice choice. 1.5 Ay Carambas
El Meat. Good, well
seasoned. A hint of spice not yet overpowering. The use of tapatillo was excellent. There were only tacos de pollo though. 4 Ay Carambas
Los Toppings. Cheese
was good and not dry. The mix of rice enhanced the complexity of delight
dwelling on the tongue. 4 Ay Carambas
Las Aguas. Not super
traditional but it was horchata. It was like sweet milk, pouring down from on high. 2 Ay Carambas

The Place
La Atmosphere. Very
homey. It made the experience more than expected. There was a comfort level
that made you want to eat in your pajamas. And take a nap. Twice. 4 Ay Carambas (because the kitchen was messy. If clean it would make a perfect 5)
La Traditionality.
Nothing is quite as traditional as a home kitchen. Although it certainly has an American slant to it. 3 Ay Carambas
El Price: Dirt cheap. Everything was already on hand 5 Ay Carambas
El Customer Service.
Like a superman coming to sweep you off your feet. Riley is extremely serviceable, even at late hours of the evening. 5 Ay Carambas
